Gulfport man charged with sex crimes against child

A Gulfport man has been charged with sex crimes against a child.

Sheriff Matt Haley said 62-year-old Michael Hubbard was charged Wednesday with three counts of touching a child for lustful purposes. He was taken to the Harrison County jail and bond was set at $225,000.

According to Haley, the arrest began with a report from the victim’s parent, alleging that Hubbard, a relative, sexually molested the victim from the age of 4 until the child was 9.

After investigators conducted interviews, a warrant was issued and Hubbard was arrested at his home in Gulfport.
