Flint Creek Water Park offers a chance to get out into nature
There’s no better time to get outside than right now.
Our morning reporter Everett Ganier Jr. was at Flint Creek Water Park earlier this morning to check in on the summer rush.
The entire park encompasses 1,900 acres. Not only is there a water park, but more is offered to get everyone out into nature.
Trails can take guests into the woods for a chance to see wild turkey, deer, and ducks.
For anglers in the community, the lake offers a chance to catch bass, bream, crappie, and catfish.
If you’re not sure what to do for the Fourth of July, the park hosts a firework display over the lake. Flint Creek Park Manager Michael Clark said, “We offer an 18-disc golf course. We have horseback trails, we have hiking trails, a 650-acre lake for skiing, fishing, tubing, a fully-equipped water park. We have five slides, a lazy river, and a splash pad.”
Flint Creek Water Park is open Wednesday through Sunday each week. More than 160 campsites are available at Flint Creek as well.
