Shuckers’ lawyers speaks out about lawsuit
According to the attorney representing the Biloxi Shuckers in the lawsuit Tim Bennett has filed, Bennett’s employees are making threats and inappropriate statements about the team’s management.
Owner of Overtime Sports and part owner of the Biloxi Shuckers Tim Bennett is suing the owner of the team Ken Young, claiming in his lawsuit that the Biloxi Shuckers have shut him out of the business. Shuckers’ lawyer Alwyn Luckey tells News 25 employees with Overtime Sports have made threats of physical violence towards the Shuckers management over social media.
Luckey says Bennett and his staff have been putting out false information, most recently accusing the Shuckers management of not letting Overtime employees inside the restrooms at MGM Park. “It is completely untrue. No one with the Biloxi Shuckers employee management team has ever told anyone from Overtime they’re not allowed to use stadium restrooms. That is a great example of things that have blown up over social media that are completely untrue.”
Luckey says he would like all parties involved in the lawsuit to come together and resolve the issues so Biloxi baseball can be a success.
News 25 reached out to Tim Bennett for a comment, but he has yet to return our calls.
