Arrest made in Friday afternoon shooting in Gulfport

Gulfport Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting death last week.

Police said 32-year-old Chaz Joshua-Dixon Farrell was arrested Saturday and charged with murder. He was taken to the Harrison County jail. Bond is set at $1 million.

On Friday about 12:42 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of 33rd Street in reference to a shooting. There, they found Kevin Davis on the ground, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators determined that Farrell and Davis had argued and Ferrell shot at Davis, then fled before police arrived.
