Victim identified in 33rd Street shooting in Gulfport

One person is dead after a shooting in Gulfport on Friday.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirmed the identity of the victim as 50-year-old Kevin Davis.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gulfport Police say the shooting happened in a residential area on 33rd Street near Pass Road just before 10:30 this morning.

An autopsy on Davis’ body is scheduled for Monday.
