Communities take part in National Day of Prayer
Many communities across the Coast took part in National Day of Prayer celebrations today.
This footage is from the prayer event at Long Beach City Hall earlier this afternoon. The Long Beach High School choir took part in the celebration as well, providing music for the occasion.
Other prayer events were held in Biloxi, Lucedale, Gulfport, Gautier, and Moss Point.
We spoke to Deacon Jerry Dubuisson to learn more about the significance of National Day of Prayer. “Today differs because we call on a National Day of Prayer, getting people a little more aware to come together as a nation. Absolutely should be praying every day, but when two or more gather He is there with us. So, it makes it a little more special. For a community to come together and pray together is an important thing, to show our support for one another.”
