Lucedale man charged with sex crimes against minors

A Lucedale man was arrested this week, charged with sex crimes against minors.

George County Sheriff Mitchell Mixon said 19-year-old Dylon Erkhart was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of sexual battery. He was taken to the George County jail. Bond was set at $125,000.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation that began March 22 when the Sheriff’s Office received reports of alleged sexual abuse involving minors.

Investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division identified Erkhart as the suspect, which led to his arrest.
