Picayune man jailed after fleeing from Diamondhead traffic stop
A Picayune man is in jail after fleeing from sheriff’s deputies who tried to initial a traffic stop.
Sheriff Ricky Adam said deputies tried to pull over 25-year-old Clay Necaise after he ran a stop sign in the back of Diamondhead about 2:30 a.m.
Instead, Necaise fled down Kiln-DeLisle Road to Fenton Dedeaux Road before leaving his vehicle in the Pine Hills area.
Deputies used a K-9 to track Necaise to a family member’s home on Fenton Dedeaux Road. They kept surveillance on the house until daylight, then went to the home and arrested Necaise.
Hew was charged with careless driving and failure to obey a traffic control device and booked into the Hancock County jail.
Adam said he also has outstanding property crime warrants from Harrison County and in Alabama.
