Doctor To Change Plea In Bribery Case

According to court records, a Mississippi physician is set to plead guilty today for bribery.
Dr. Carl Reddix originally plead not guilty back in July, but plans to change that plea today.
Reddix had pleaded not guilty to six counts of bribery and one count of conspiracy to commit honest services fraud.
Dr. Reddix is accused of bribing Mississippi’s former corrections commissioner Christoper Epps.
Reddix’s company health assurance began providing medical care to inmates in 2012.
The indictment says Reddix began paying Epps 6-thousand dollars a month.
That amount later rose to 9-thousand a month by 2014.
Reddix, currently free on bail, faces up to 80 years in prison and 1 point 75 million dollars in fines if convicted on all counts.
