Hosemann releases Blue Book, talks voting

Today Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann stopped by WXXV for the launch of the Bicentennial Blue Book, the state’s official and statistical register.
The first 59 pages of the 812 page book include Mississippi’s history from beginning to now. Twenty nine businesses, 41 business leaders, and other notable members of communities across the state are highlighted.
With less than a week until local elections, Hosemann is also encouraging everyone to vote. “If it’s a Republican and a Democrat so some Republican primaries are very contested. Some Democrat primaries are very contested. Here on the Coast you’ll have new mayors in Long Beach, Pascagoula will have a new mayor. You’re seeing some transitions in those. Others may not have an opponent, but city councils have opponents so everybody needs to go out and vote.”
The primary election is set for Tuesday, May 2nd.
If you would like the Blue Book, a digital version is available on the secretary of state’s website.
