There are ten other candidates running for mayor.
Moss Point Alderman Wayne Lennep tells News 25 he thinks the upcoming election will be the start of a new chapter for the city.

“I do see this as a new opportunity for Moss Point. We’ve had a lot of interest in this mayoral race and this alderman race…no matter who wins I think just the fact that there is so much interest means there’s people who believe in Moss Point and people who believe in the potential that we have here. I think we have a real opportunity here to take a big step forward and take Moss Point to its potential. I think there is potential here.”
