Church Fire in Gulfport

On 2/23/16 at approximately 10 am, 21 Gulfport firefighters responded to a structure fire at New Jerusalem Baptist Church on 23^rd Ave.  No occupants were inside at the time of the fire and it was brought under control within 15 minutes.  Initial crews found smoke and fire inside the front doors and the cause of the fire is under investigation.  The structure suffered moderate damage from heat and smoke.  There were no injuries reported.
