Pascagoula woman indicted in embezzlement case

A Pascagoula woman has been indicted on a count of embezzlement stemming from a 2022 arrest.
24-year-old Courtney Spears was arrested on the indictment on Saturday. She was taken to Jackson County jail. No bond has been set pending an initial appearance.
Spears was a cashier Lowes in Pascagoula in 2022 when she was accused of embezzling more than $12,000 over several months.
The case was presented to the Jackson County grand jury, who returned an indictment in the case.
