MBI investigating death of female juvenile at Harrison County jail

Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley has confirmed an investigation is underway into the death of a female juvenile at the Harrison County jail.

Haley said the 16-year-old female, who was arrested on an armed robbery charge, in D’Iberville was found dead in her cell on January 12th about 6 p.m.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation and Haley said he could not comment further.
