No. 1 Michigan takes down No. 2 Washington to win CFP National Championship

The No. 1 ranked Michigan Wolverines faced off with the No. 2 ranked Washington Huskies in Houston for a shot at the CFP National Championship trophy.

Both teams came into the game undefeated – Washington led by Michael Penix Jr. while Michigan was led by J.J. McCarthy.

The game saw two rushing touchdown of 40-yards or more from Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, 134 rushing yards and two scores from lead running back Blake Corum, and a 20-point win for the Wolverines over the Huskies.
