Woman Robs First Bank in Gulfport

On September 19th, 2014, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 34 year old, Lacritia Renee Summerlin, of Gulfport, on the charge of Armed Robbery.

The arrest and investigation is the result of Patrol Division response to The First Bank located at 15513 Oneal Road in reference to a reported Armed Robbery at 9:47 a.m. The on scene investigation revealed that a white female suspect entered the business brandishing an unknown caliber handgun. She then pointed the handgun at a bank teller while demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency from the teller, the female suspect fled the business on foot in a southwest direction. A description was then given to area law enforcement agencies and officers.

Through a follow up investigation, Summerlin was identified as the suspect. The follow up investigation led Gulfport Police Detectives to the Reserve Apartments located at 11200 Three Rivers Road. At 11:53 a.m., Summerlin was located and arrested without incident at her apartment. An undisclosed amount of currency and a firearm were recovered from Summerlin’s apartment.

After booking and processing, Summerlin was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility to be held in lieu of a $200,000 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge, Brandon Ladner.
