12/28 – Jeff’s “Freeze Warning” Thursday Night Forecast
A Freeze Warning is in effect overnight until 10 AM Friday. Temperatures for the interior 3 counties will plunge to below 30 degrees, the 3 immediate coastal counties will see 30-32 degree readings, and all of the area will have a wind chill of 25-30 degrees out the door. Remember the 4 P’s including bringing in sensitive plants, providing warm shelter or bringing in for outdoor pets, checking on neighbors, and protecting outdoor pipes if you are inland.
Sunny skies with below-average afternoon high temperatures are expected Friday and Saturday with slightly warmer temperatures this weekend. Freezing temperatures are possibly on the table Saturday morning. Milder temperatures arrive for the second half of the weekend and cloud cover will increase on New Year’s Eve. This will take place in advance of a quick storm system that brings rain chances in New Year’s Day. An active pattern is likely next week with rain chances again around Wednesday.
