12/18 – Jeff’s “Cold Start To Week” Monday Night Forecast

Tuesday will be a frigid start with a reinforcing shot of colder air making its way through the area. There will also be a slight wind chill factor so be sure to take necessary steps if you have to be outside early tomorrow. Despite lots of sunshine, temperatures will struggle to reach the upper-50s thanks to cold northerly winds. High pressure transiting the region will shape the forecast.

Wednesday through the end of the week will feature a wind shift and overall slow pattern change. Southerly winds will usher in slight changes in the form of warmer and more moist conditions. All of this will be ahead of a potential storm system around the Christmas holiday. Fine details regarding timing and exact impacts need to be refined but rain and thunderstorm chances are in play this weekend into next week.
