12/15 – Jeff’s “Rain/Wind” Weekend Forecast
Clouds will build back in tonight thanks to an area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico. It, combined with another system to our north will influence our conditions through the weekend. Winds will remain elevated tonight well into tomorrow with a Wind Advisory for Coastal Hancock County, and a Small Craft Advisory for all of our waters until 6 AM Sunday.
Rain chances will be very isolated up until tomorrow afternoon. Some light to moderate showers will build in for Saturday afternoon and evening. A rumble of thunder or two isn’t off the table but widespread thunderstorms and heavy rain are not likely. Any outdoor activities tomorrow will not be ideal given the possibility of a dreary scene.
Skies will clear out Sunday and it will be a tad warmer as compared to Saturday. Into next week, it will certainly feel like the winter season is upon us. Temperatures in the 30s will be possible several mornings early in the week before the pattern modifies. More sunshine will be around from Sunday into the new week though!
