Feed my Sheep provides meals for Thanksgiving

Feed my Sheep had their annual Thanksgiving lunch, serving up a full spread for their guests.

This has been a tradition for years at Feed my Sheep and it serves as a way to say thank you to staff, volunteers, and guests.

It cones upwards of $250,000 to keep Feed my Sheep open year-round and it wouldn’t be possible without help from the public.

Just for their Thanksgiving meal, Feed my Sheep fed 650 elderly, disabled, home-bound, and unsheltered people.

“We couldn’t do it without the wonderful community support, without the wonderful 150 volunteers that help plate the to-go meals in the morning, that help deliver the meals to the elderly, homebound, and disabled folks, as well as those that come and serve the homeless and less fortunate at lunch everyday here,” said David Lion, the executive director of Feed my Sheep. “It’s a beautiful thing, and it’s a tremendous thing that the community of the gulf coast does.”

Feed my Sheep will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.
