Students pack Christmas boxes for children overseas

Beta Club students at Harper McCaughan Elementary are getting into the giving spirit!

The club set out to fill 150 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade classes all helped collect toys, school supplies, and hygiene products for the boxes.

Once the supply drive was over, the beta club came together to sort through those donations and pack the boxes.

Harper McCaughan Elementary Beta Club strives to teach children to be compassionate and appreciative leaders.

Sixth-grade teacher Lucy Pribyl said, “Our moto with beta club is “Let us lead by serving others”, so this is an example and an opportunity for our students to lead by serving others who are less fortunate in the world.”

All these boxes will be shipped off as gifts for children in other countries.
