Woman charged with conspiracy to commit child abuse after allegedly selling drugs to mom

Another woman has been charged in connection to a felony child abuse case reported last week.

30-year-old Dawn Marie White has been charged with conspiracy to commit felony child abuse. She was taken to Harrison County jail. Her bond was set at $50,000.

On October 18, Gulfport Police was contacted by Child Protective Services about a child abuse complaint.

On October 20, 23-year-old Savannah Reynolds was arrested on a charge of felony child abuse. Reynolds was 37 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a child who later died. Lab results showed the child had TCH, amphetamines and fentanyl in the child’s system at birth. Reynolds had taken several pills containing those ingredients up to a week before giving birth.

Detectives learned that White had sold fentanyl to Reynolds on multiple occasions. White and Reynolds also conspired to buy fentanyl for Reynolds while measures were actively being taken to save the infant before he was pronounced dead.
