8/20 Chris’s “HOT TEMPERATURES” Sunday Night Forecast
Man oh man was it a hot day for the the southern six counties some areas had high temperatures above the century mark . Currently there is stationary front to the north of our area it will begin to weaken overnight into Monday morning. A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect from 10am to 8pm Monday for heat indices from 105-110 expected. A easterly tropical wave is moving across the Gulf of Mexico currently, right now it has a 70 percent chances of formation. This disturbance regardless of formation will stay well to the south, we should expected to see partly cloudy skies and a small chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Tomorrow will have winds from 10-15 mph out of the southeast. Temperatures will continue to be oppressive on Tuesday with highs in the upper 90s we could also be dealing with heat warnings. We will see heat warnings on Wednesday as temperatures increase to the century mark. As for the rest of the week elevated rain chances return to the forecast with temperatures in the mid 90s. Saturday we will see temperatures in the mid 90s with an afternoon shower or thunderstorm chance. Sunday temps are back closer to average with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
