8/13 – Chris’s “HOT WEEK AHEAD” Sunday Night Forecast
No need to sugar coat it this weekend has been very hot. This trend will continue into the start of the new work week. On Monday there is a EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING in effect from 11am to 7pm for heat indices from 110 to 116. Temperatures will be close to the triple digits across the whole area with partly cloudy skies. On Tuesday temperatures will be close to the triple digits across the whole area with the chance of another day of heat warnings. On Tuesday afternoon a front will move through elevating rain chances in the afternoon and in the overnight hours. We will not see that much rain however and will still be in drought conditions. Temperatures return to the mid 90s on Wednesday which is much welcomed. This will continue to be the case as we head into the end of the work week. As for the weekend we will be in a typical summertime pattern with temperatures in the low to mid 90s. This will be accompanied by a daily afternoon shower or thunderstorm chance induced by the sea-breeze.
