8/7 – Jeff Vorick’s “Extremely Hot” Monday Evening Forecast

The heat wave we have been dealt continues through the much of this week. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect until 7 PM for heat indices over 110 degrees for much of the area. It will remain hot and very humid overnight as southerly winds continue. A few clouds from time to time can be expected.

Expect another extremely hot day tomorrow. For what it’s worth, more cloud coverage and some very isolated rain chances are on the table tomorrow. Any rain chances are around 20% at best. The focus continues to be on the heat as an Excessive Heat Warning will again be required for the area.

Rain chances during midweek are slim to none as the hot pattern will continue. If anything, sunshine will dominate even more on Wednesday and Thursday. It will be important to stay safe in the heat given how long this has been going on and the lack of overnight cooling. Some rain chances return by the weekend but this pattern does not look to change.
