Charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling

Gautier Police and Jackson County Sheriff’s Investigators have each charged 18-year-old Kevin Spain with one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

One shooting took place July 17 in Gautier, and the other occurred in the St. Martin area on July 18. No one was hurt in either shooting. Sheriff John Ledbetter says both were gang related.

Spain, of Ocean Springs, was already in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center on separate charges of felony fleeing and eluding from a vehicle pursuit and for possession of felony marijuana.

He is jailed with no bond on all charges.
