Enrollment now open for MGCCC Culinary Arts Program

Since July is Culinary Awareness Month, it’s the perfect time to remind students they can enroll in Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s culinary arts program.

The two-year program provides a solid foundation in the methods and science of cooking through exposure to classical, American, and international cuisines as well as baking and pastry making.

The program also places special emphasis on culinary tools, equipment, techniques, and specialty ingredients.

The program takes pride in its team of expert instructors, each with extensive experience. This is beneficial for those who plan to pursue a career in the culinary arts or just improve their cooking in every day life. Culinary Arts Instructor Chef Todd Reilly said, “One of the things I tell all of my students is no matter where you live on the planet, people always eat. It’s a great skill set to have, not just for a career, but we have plenty of students who just come to learn how to cook for themselves.”

Enrollment for the upcoming semester is now open. Interested students are encouraged to visit mgccc.edu for more information.
