Pollinator garden opens in D’Iberville
Coast Electric has partnered with the Land Trust for Mississippi Coastal Plain to build a pollinator garden in D’Iberville.
The garden will be a space for native bees, butterflies, and beetles. The property is 44 acres and is designed to be an environment where pollinators can thrive.
The pollinator garden also features a nine-acre pond and an outdoor classroom space where children can learn immersed in nature.
Coast Electric Director of Communications April Lollar says the garden is an engaging experience for students. “Having students be able to come out here and have a really engaging hands on learning experience is exciting for us. So we’re proud of this property and we can’t wait for people to check it out and see what this garden’s all about.”
