6/8 – Jeff Vorick’s “Thunderstorm Chances End” Thursday Evening Forecast
Thunderstorms will gradually come to an end this evening. Expect mild temperatures and a very humid one out the door for tomorrow. Shower and thunderstorm chances will return for your Friday thanks to daytime heating and the sea breeze. Rain chances of around 40% can be expected.
This weekend, a disturbance will help provide for the potential for more widespread thunderstorms Saturday. For what it’s worth, the Storm Prediction Center has South Mississippi in a Level 1 of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms. There is the possibility of a thunderstorm complex working in.
Rain chances become lower for Sunday, and become very isolated into next week. The true heat of summer will build in with 90s for afternoon highs and not much in the way of a cool-down at night.
