2/17 – The Chief’s “Clearing & Cold” Friday Morning Forecast

Cold front has moved through the area and NW winds are bringing the cool dry air in. Breezy conditions will ease late today leading to a fantastic weekend. Sunny skies Saturday with cool temperatures and just a few upper level clouds expected Sunday. The cool temps will begin a steady warming trend over the next few days.

The warming will continue into the middle of next week bringing the entire area to around 80F by Tuesday. The next system that affects the area will be Wed. The surface low looks to rapidly eject NE from over northern TX. Vertical winds go parallel to the boundary as this occurs and the front stalls either over LA or TX. If this stalls near our area, we could see some showers/t-storm associated but at the moment, this doesn’t look volatile.
