State Superintendent of Education Visits Ocean Springs
Education, especially Initiative 42, continues to be a highly discussed issue in the state of Mississippi.
Tonight in Ocean Springs, State Superintendent of Education Dr. Carey Wright visited the Gulf Coast League of Women Voters. Dr. Wright says it’s important to inform voters just what they are voting on when it comes to wording on their November 3rd ballots. Initiative 42 is the only measure on the ballot that fully funds public school education. “Our board has been on record for a long, long time of fully funding MAEP and they have not veered from that and that continues to be their stance and that’s where we are but I know a lot of people are trying to decide what to do and we’re going to recommend that they just do their homework.”
