Region 4 Class 6A tabs MVP players
Region 4 class 6A came out with its All-District teams today. And a lot of familiar names getting recognized, 85 of them to be exact.
But for the sake of time, we’ll stick with the three names, at the top of the list, starting with player of the year and Minnesota signee Justin Walley.
The three-star cornerback has proved he’s much more than just a defender, rushing for more than 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior on his way to winning Mr. Football for class 6A in the state of Mississippi.
Moving on to the Region 4 offensive MVP going to Biloxi running back K.K. Kendrick, the only Indians skill position player to play in all 10 games, according to MaxPreps.
As a senior he rushed for more than 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns on 172 carries to go along with another receiving touchdown and even a passing touchdown.
Finally, the Region 4 defensive MVP honors go to Harrison Central’s Ricky Willis who led the Red Rebels with 110 total tackles, 12 of those going for loss with four sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
