07/10 Ryan’s “Hot & Miserable” Friday Night Forecast
Even more miserable weather is on the way as the temperature continues to climb and the high humidity lingers. Tonight in particular will be on the muggy side, with a low near 79 and a dewpoint in the mid 70s. Tomorrow is when things really start to get out of hand though. Expect a high near 95 degrees with increased humidity, which means heat indices will rise to the 105-110 degree range. This is the threshold for Heat Advisories, so it’s likely we’ll see a few over the weekend. That means even short-term exposure could be dangerous, so if you’re going to enjoy the outdoors remember to try and stay cool.
Drink plenty of water, take lots of breaks, and seek shade whenever possible.
If you start feeling dizzy, abnormally tired, or stop sweating, go indoors (or at least into some AC) as soon as possible. This miserable trend lasts into the beginning of next week, but more frequent afternoon showers return by then to keep things a little cooler.
