A small surface low pressure trof is situated over the MS/AL/Florida coastline caused widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. This additional cloud cover and rain helped keep daytime temperatures in the high 80s and low 90s, and this type of cooling will continue into Friday. Upper level high pressure moves into the area just in time for the weekend, causing compressional heating and moving coastal temperatures into the mid to upper 90s, with some inland areas will reach the triple digits. Night time temperatures will remain warm for the next few days as increased moisture will retain heat a little longer, expect lows near 80.
