5/4 – Rob Knight’s “Pleasant” Monday/Workweek Forecast
Nice conditions will continue as a surface high will remain in place through Tuesday. Upper level wave will track east and allow the broad ridge to slowly drift east through Monday and Tuesday.
At the same time, low level flow will become southerly and continue to increase dew-point readings through Tuesday. A slight increase in temperatures and humidity will make it slightly uncomfortable across the region today and Tuesday. Several disturbances will deepen a trough over east CONUS. This feature will drive a trough cold front into the region. The associated front will push east Wednesday with cooling and drying Wednesday to early Friday. Another system will bring a chance of rain across the area Friday night into Saturday.
