The Promenade in D’Iberville opens again

Some Mississippi retail shopkeepers are preparing to reopen as Governor Tate Reeves begins easing restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.

When you think retail in South Mississippi, D’Iberville’s Promenade might come to mind. Today, D’Iberville officials say they will be opening their retail businesses at 50 percent capacity.

The city believes that they will be able to open their retail stores back up safely with the cooperation of the city’s law enforcement, store managers and shoppers to keep the CDC’s social distancing guidelines in effect.

City officials also say they are prepared for anything and law enforcement and store managers already have a communication system setup.

D’Iberville’s city manager says they will reevaluate and reassess if they feel things are getting out of hand.
