Gulfport Public Works Department assisting Waste Pro with increasing demand for yard debris pickup

Over the past few weeks, WastePro has received over 1,000 calls for yard debris pickup. This is seven times the number of calls received last year during the same time frame. Due to the increase in demand, the City of Gulfport Public Works Department will be assisting Waste Pro with the pickups.

Please keep yard debris that needs to be picked up by a boom truck, such as large piles of tree limbs separate from household garbage, which should be placed in the trash bin or cart. Your patience is appreciated as the city shifts procedures to fulfill the large number of additional requests.

For those who want to take their own debris to the Pecan Grove Landfill, the address is 9685 Firetower Road in Pass Christian. You must show proof of residency in Harrison County.
