Statewide COVID-19 cases to date: 178 new cases and ten new deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 178 new cases of COVID-19 in the state and ten new deaths.

The state total now stands at 4,894 and 193 deaths.

Here is an updated list of cases by county in our area:

• Hancock County still has 54 cases and five deaths
• Harrison County has 150 cases and six deaths
• Stone County has 21 cases and no deaths
• Jackson County has 221 cases and six deaths
• Pearl River County has 136 cases and ten deaths

Meanwhile, Hinds County still has the most cases in the state at 377.
