Mississippi man walks for addiction awareness

A Mississippi man is getting ready to walk across the entire state and it’s all to raise awareness for a cause that hits close to home.

Ken Stevens started his 411 mile trek in Biloxi today to raise awareness for meth addiction. “The reason I’m doing this is because I’m a recovering addict, been a recovering addict for a few years. I went back a time or two and I’m just trying to give back to the community. I’m trying to stop and build awareness.”

His journey will eventually end in Corinth. Stevens says he will hold meetings in 14 different cities on his journey. All donations will go to the Broken Lives Ministry, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
