Biloxi Shuckers 2022 in review: 67-68 overall record

The Biloxi Shuckers played their final game of the season on Sunday, dropping the series finale on the road against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 5-2.

That gives the Shuckers an overall record of 67-68, missing out on the Southern League playoffs for the second year in row.

Pretty consistent though, one game over .500 in the first half, two games under in the second, but the story of the season was streaky baseball.

They were actually the second to last minor league team to lose a game this year, starting 7-0 and then ending the 2022 campaign by winning nine out of their last ten games, following a stretch in which they lost 15 out of 18.

Finally, seven former Shuckers making their Major League debut this season, including Mississippi State alum Ethan Small and Milwaukee Brewers fifth ranked prospect Garrett Mitchell.
