Pascagoula officer and K-9 partner injured after being struck by drunk driver, police say

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV) — Two officers with the Pascagoula Police Department were injured in a car accident Tuesday night.

Officer Snyder and his K-9 partner, Tony, were on patrol New Year’s Eve when their vehicle was struck by an alleged drunk driver.

Pascagoula Police said in a post on Facebook, “Both officers were fortunate to have only received minor injuries. We cannot stress enough the danger of driving under the influence.”

The driver did not suffer any injuries and was charged with Driving Under the Influence.
