Local resident clears Pineville Elementary cafeteria debts

One Harrison County school received a big surprise today from a generous citizen.

A local residents came to Pineville Elementary School this morning to ask about paying off all student cafeteria debts as a way of giving back to the school.

The resident wrote a check to the school for a little under $100 which benefited 17 Pineville students and cleared all negative balances.

Principal Laura Ditcharo says the donor’s act of kindness is inspiring. “We’re just, you know, thankful for people in our community that remember the schools and the students and just want to give back.”

Pineville Elementary is a part of the Harrison County School District.
