9/4 – Chris’s “Typical Pattern” Labor Day Night Forecast
This afternoon brought very beneficial rainfall across Hancock and Pearl River counties. Well over 5 inches of rainfall has fallen is some spots close to the the Mississippi/Louisiana border. This was due to a weakness in the overall pattern that’s also caused an abundance of cloud coverage across the southern six counties. Temperature today have even been in the low 80s in that area due to the rain cool air that is in place. As we head into the evening hours showers and thunderstorms will continue to fizzle out. Overnight we will have breezy conditions with mostly cloudy skies with the mid 70s as low temperatures.
Tomorrow the sunshine will finally return to the area as we have highs in the low 90s. This trend will continue through the end of the week with highs in the low to mid 90s however rain chances are slim at 20 percent. Pretty much a similar forecast for Saturday and Sunday as high pressure continues to be the dominant feature. This means that rain chances will be very low on Saturday for the Biloxi Seafood Festival so enjoy the sunshine. The only problem with the forecast is that we will not see enough rain to help with our extreme drought conditions.
