9/26 – Chris’s “Afternoon Rain Chances” Tuesday Morning Forecast
This morning we are starting out rather humid, however temperatures are mild. There is a stationary front to the north of our area causing an abundance of cloud coverage. This cloud coverage will continue through out the afternoon hours with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will warm to the upper 80s leaving hot and humid conditions. Overnight rain chance do increase to 40 percent as a easterly wave off the coast continues to pump gulf moisture into the southern six counties. As the easterly wave moves closer to our rain chances increase tomorrow and Thursday to 60 and 50 percent. Temperatures however will stay above average even with mostly cloudy skies continuing. Rain chances decrease on Friday to 30 percent with partly cloudy skies. As we head into the first weekend of cruising the coast sunshine will return and so will the average temperatures.
