8/26 – Rob’s Friday Afternoon Forecast

Drier air working it’s way into the area will continue to provide mostly sunny/partly cloudy skies. A few t-storms are possible this afternoon with continued heating, but should be very limited along with minimal chances at 20%. A easterly wave will traverse the northern Gulf over the weekend bringing elevated rain potential at 50% before declining early next week.

TROPICAL WATCH:

The area of low-pressure to the NE of Cuba continues to be sheared apart due to its interaction with land/friction. It’s now at a 20% probability for further development over the next 48 hours. We will continue to keep an eye on this activity to update our viewers.
