Warm and humid conditions this Sunday night, with lows near 77 degrees.
Rain and thunderstorms return early Monday morning and could linger into the late afternoon. A level 1 risk for flash flooding is in place as some storms could move slowly and produce heavy rain. Highs will reach the low 90s Monday afternoon. Temperatures will climb a few degrees later this week, bringing higher heat index values.
In the tropics, we are tracking three disturbances across the Atlantic. None are expected to threaten the Gulf Coast over the next seven days. We will continue to monitor them closely.
