8/7 – Chris’s “HOT & HUMID” Monday Morning Forecast

Folks the heat wave will continue into the first full week of August. This means that there is an EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING FROM 11AM – 7PM today for heat indices from 110-116. There is a cold front north of the area, however it is not expected to aid in cooling us off.  Today winds will be a little stronger out of the southwest adding to humid conditions. There is EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH FROM 11AM – 7PM Tuesday for heat indices from 110-116.  Rain chances slightly increased to 30% on Wednesday as the front moves closer to our area. Temperatures will finally be back below 95 Thursday and Friday which we could still be dealing with Heat advisory’s through the end of the week.

As for the weekend temperatures will drop back to normal values as the typical summertime pattern returns to our area. This means we will see elevated thunderstorm chances for Saturday and Sunday as the sea-breeze kicks back up again. High Pressure in the Gulf Of Mexico will then start to move east towards the peninsula of Florida.
