8/29 – Rob’s “Sunny/Hot…But DRY” Afternoon Forecast

Lower humidity will make for a few lovely days along the gulf coast. Hot temperatures will continue under sunny skies with the moisture returning from the southeast on Saturday.

A weak tropical wave is forecast to move westward across the central Gulf of Mexico Sunday and Labor Day, with shower and thunderstorm chances/coverage increasing Saturday night into Sunday. The wave should be west of the area by mid-day Labor Day. Beyond Labor Day, forecast will be dependent on the eventual track of Hurricane Dorian. Current forecast has Dorian over central Florida Monday night. There is potential for Dorian to reach at least the eastern Gulf of Mexico early next week. For now, forecast confidence is rather uncertain for mid-week.
