8/22 – Rob’s Mid-Week “Nice Changes” Forecast

A rather significant change to the local weather is beginning to take place across the area. The short version is: out with muggy & daily t-storms and in the drier air & rain-free skies. A weak cold front is overhead and just to the south out the area.

Drier air will be pushing into the region/area from north to south and will continue through Friday. The transition from the higher to lower humidity will make the 90s feel so much more tolerable.

Unfortunately, the pleasant weather will be short-lived however, with moisture and lower rain chances beginning to return Saturday…more so on Sunday into next week. The good news is that it should be gradual with barely 20% Saturday and 40%+ Sunday as high-pressure weakens. Early next week will likely be a return to more typical wet summer pattern the Bermuda ridge strengthens. This will open the region/area up to deeper Gulf moisture and minimal subsidence aloft to inhibit t-storm development.
