8/16 – Jeff’s “Mild For A Little Longer” Wednesday Night Forecast

It will be pleasant overnight as the break from the humidity will continue for a bit longer. Skies will be mainly clear, if not totally sunny to begin your Thursday. Other than some clouds from time to time, it will be slightly hotter. Humidity will remain tame until the second half of the day when the sea breeze moves in.

The humidity will build back in to end the week and the heat will also make a return. Friday begins another stretch of well-above average temperatures and oppressive humidity. Heat index values of 110 degrees will be around at times for Friday and the weekend. Rain chances will be making a gradual return with stray shower/thunderstorm chances as soon as Saturday.

Sunday is when rain chances begin to become more appreciable. Isolated thunderstorms are possible but a tropical entity could bring more where that came from. An area of disturbed weather will move through the Gulf of Mexico early next week. At the moment, the National Hurricane Center has given the feature a 20% chance of potential tropical development. There is a lot of time to watch what materializes but some elevated rain chances can be expected Monday and Tuesday.
